Performance of Top Non-Traditional Coconut Products Exports in December 2025 (Part 2)
Thursday, April 30, 2026The following shows details of the next eight major non-traditional coconut products exports in December (ranked 11th-18th) that earned at least USD100,000 during the month namely Coco Meat Chips, Biodiesel, Coco Peat/Dust, Nata de Coco, Coconut Acid Oil, Coir & Coir Products, Makapuno, Coconut Flour.
COCO MEAT CHIPS logged income of USD878,724 from delivery of 236 MT, a jump by 64.2% when compared to 144 MT in the previous year. The USA was bulk importer cornering 59.5% of total shipment or 140 MT. The rest ordered lesser volume such as Australia at 48 MT (20.5%), Vietnam at 26 MT (10.8%), South Korea at 13 MT (5.4%) and Japan at 9 MT (3.7%).
BIODIESEL generated revenue of USD532,655. Total volume sold at 169 MT shrank 81.2% from 895 MT last year. This month’s shipment went to Germany, Japan, and Mexico in that order, with Germany responsible for 94 MT or 56.0%, Japan 59 MT or 34.7%, and Mexico 16 MT (9.3%).
External trade of COCO PEAT/DUST registered income of USD299,561. Total purchases at 4,917 MT climbed 22.0% from 4,032 MT in the previous year. China was virtually the sole importer as in previous month, holding 4,863 MT (98.9%), with the residual volume going to Taiwan and Sweden.
Shipment of NATA DE COCO at 165 MT was worth USD191,032. This quantity pronouncedly cut by 56.3% the preceding year’s 378 MT. Japan remained the top buyer responsible for 49 MT (29.5%), trailed by the USA at 43 MT (26.4%), Netherlands at 29 MT (17.5%), Canada at 15 MT (9.2%), New Zealand at 9 MT (5.5%). Six other countries bought smaller loads ranging 0.75-6 MT and jointly accounted for 11.8% of the market, namely Saudi Arabia, Australia, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Kuwait, France.
Earnings from COCONUT ACID OIL totaled USD158,591 from shipment of 221 MT, a substantial drop by 63.4% from 604 MT a year ago. All exports went to China.
Outbound trade of COIR & COIR PRODUCTS at 911 MT generated USD137,754. This month’s volume showed a magnified growth of 77.7% from previous year at 512 MT. China almost exclusively captured the business with uptake at 894 MT (98.2%). The balance went to Japan.
Export of MAKAPUNO turned in USD136,484 with 73 MT traded volume during the month. This recorded a deficit of 27.5% from 101 MT at the same time last year. The USA continued as principal importer at 23 MT (31.7%), trailed by Canada at 18 MT (25.2%), New Zealand at 9 MT (12.5%), Netherlands 8 MT (11.6%), United Kingdom at 6 MT (8.7%), Hong Kong 4 MT (5.3%) and three others with limited orders ranging 0.9-2 MT. The latter group accounted for 4.9% of total trade and comprised of France, Australia, Kuwait.
Overseas purchases of COCONUT FLOUR turned in USD109,202 from sales of 115 MT. The figure reduced by 16.6% the previous year data at 139 MT. Germany was market leader at 38 MT (33.3%), followed by Argentina at 26 MT (22.9%), South Korea at 23 MT (19.8%), USA at 22 MT (18.8%) and China at 6 MT (5.3%).
