Destinations of Coconut Oil Exports in June

Export of coconut oil in June consisted of 52,076 MT crude coconut oil, 7,142 MT cochin (refined, bleached) oil and 16,316 MT RBD (refined, bleached, deodorized) oil.  The combined value of the export mix was USD195.439 million, surpassing by 29.0% last year at USD151.553 million.
Europe remained the top destination accounting for 32,111 MT or 42.5% of the export mix.  Following behind were the USA at 30,867 MT (40.9%), China at 3,575 MT (4.7%), Malaysia at 3,338 MT (4.4%), South Korea at 2,510 MT (3.3%), and Japan at 2,142 MT (2.8%).  Above top six destinations jointly account for 98.7%.  
Europe was the biggest importer of crude coconut oil at 31,501 MT (Netherlands), followed by the USA at 14,728 MT, Malaysia at 3,338 MT, and South Korea at 2,510 MT.   Shipment of cochin oil went only to the USA at 5,000 MT and Japan at 2,142 MT.
On the other hand, RBD coconut oil export went to 11 destinations.  Topping the list was the USA at 11,139 MT, trailed by China at 3,575 MT, Europe at 610 MT, Sri Lanka at 503 MT, Taiwan 195 MT, Australia 128 MT.  Other outlets were Canada at 76 MT, Brazil 36 MT, Mexico 25 MT, South Africa 18 MT, New Zealand 13 MT.  Shipment to Europe was distributed as follows: Netherlands 326, Slovenia 101, Bulgaria 66, Germany 58, Italy 20, Lithuania 20, France 19.
