Sri Lanka Coconut Recovers in June

Sri Lanka’s coconut production had recovered strongly in the second quarter of 2025, boosted by the sharp rise in June production of 18 percent from a year earlier to 289.5 million nuts, official data showed, the Economy Next reported on August 25.  

In the first two months of the quarter, production year-on-year reflected shortfalls.  In May, output fell 1.2 percent to 257.5 million nuts.  In April, it was down 6.2 percent from a year earlier.
