Coconut Philippines Trade Fair Centerpiece of 39th National Coconut Week
Thursday, August 28, 2025The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and supported by the Coconut Farmers Industry and Development Plan (CFIDP), officially opened COCONUTPhilippines Trade Fair 2025 at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall.
Following the success of the inaugural event in December 2024, this year’s expo, the centerpiece of the PCA’s 39th National Coconut Week, heralds the coconut’s comeback. Themed “Niyog: Ginto sa Kabukiran, Hatid ay Kabuhayan, at Sandigan sa Kaunlaran ng Bayan,” the event spotlights the coconut as an agrarian gold, a lifeline for farmers, a sustainable business for entrepreneurs, and a pillar of economic stability.
Running until September 2, the six-day event brings together farmers, cocopreneurs, exporters, buyers, and innovators under one roof. Admission is free, giving the public a unique opportunity to explore how coconut has grown beyond the classic buko juice and latik, becoming a key driver of health, sustainability, and livelihood for millions of Filipinos. The fair also provide a venue for business matching, product launches, benchmarking, and order-taking strengthening the link between farmers and global markets.
A wide array of coconut-based products that highlight the versatility of coconut can be found such as, Food innovations like coconut flour, sugar, and vinegar that are nutritious, gluten-free, and eco-friendly; Wellness and beauty products such as virgin coconut oil, shampoos, and soaps that harness the coconut’s natural cleansing and healing properties;
Sustainable lifestyle goods like eco-friendly packaging, household cleaners, and biofuel that prove nothing from the coconut goes to waste; Agricultural solutions including coco peat and fiber products that boost soil health and promote greener farming practices.
