Overseas purchases of desiccated coconut in August totaled 16,845 MT and turned in USD30.693 million. The USA led the 40 desiccated coconut buyers during the month with uptake of 4,797 MT (28.5%), followed by Netherlands at 3,083 MT (18.3%), and China which completed the top three markets at 1,112 MT (6.6%).
Trailing the three market leaders were six country importers with total trade collectively representing 23.6% namely, Canada 821 MT, Germany 755 MT, Australia 692 MT, United Kingdom 639 MT, Russia 559 MT, Brazil 517 MT. On the other hand, 15 countries took in volume ranging 100-486 MT and jointly contributed 18.9% to total sales. This included Malaysia, Turkey, France, Japan, Indonesia, Argentina, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Taiwan, South Africa, Chile, Belgium, Iraq, Poland.
Limited quantities of under 100 MT (6-99 MT) went to 16 other countries consisting of Colombia, Thailand, Israel, Norway, Guatemala, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Sweden, Singapore, Fiji, Czech Republic, Vietnam. The group together shared 4.1% of the market.

External trade of desiccated coconut in July totaled 16,378 MT and earned USD28.509 million. This was distributed to 43 importing countries led by the USA at 3,445 MT (21.0%). Netherlands was second biggest market at 2,520 MT (15.4%). Following behind were eight countries which collectively accounted for 40.2% of the market namely China at 970 MT, Germany at 949 MT, Turkey at 927 MT, Canada at 818 MT, Russia at 800 MT, Australia at 765 MT, United Kingdom at 761 MT, Malaysia at 594 MT.
On the other hand, 13 other countries held volumes lower than 500 MT (127-481 MT range) and jointly shared 18.6%. This included Brazil, France, South Korea, Belgium, South Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Sweden, Spain, Thailand, Poland. Limited orders were made by 21 other countries (9-90 MT range) which together contributed 4.7% to total sales. This was made up of Italy, Israel, Argentina, New Zealand, Egypt, Ecuador, Lithuania, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Norway, Hong Kong, Denmark, Panama, Guatemala, Vietnam, India, Greece, Estonia.

Overseas purchases of desiccated coconut in June which amounted to 11,712 MT was valued USD19.645 million. There were 44 importing countries during the month led by the USA which accounted for nearly a quarter (23.6%) of the market or 2,763 MT. The Netherlands followed at 1,701 MT (14.5%) and seven other major buyers which together comprised 39.1% of the market namely Russia at 889 MT, Germany at 727 MT, China at 704 MT, Brazil at 616 MT, Canada at 561 MT, Turkey at 552 MT, United Kingdom at 526 MT.
Smaller loads ranging 102-354 MT were delivered to eight countries which collectively shared 14.9% or 1,750 MT. This included Australia, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, France, Italy, Indonesia, New Zealand. On the other hand, limited orders ranging 3-79 MT were made by 27 other countries which jointly contributed 7.9% or 922 MT to total sales. The group was made up of South Africa, Spain, Belgium, Thailand, Argentina, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Czech Republic, Israel, Ecuador, Denmark, Norway, Paraguay, Ireland, Syria, Taiwan, Sweden, Chile, El Salvador, Colombia, Peru, Poland, Latvia, Croatia, Lithuania, Uruguay, Hong Kong.
