Destinations of Coconut Oil Export in November

Export of coconut oil in November consisted of 35,685 MT crude coconut oil, 15,166 MT cochin (refined, bleached) coconut oil, and 13,826 MT RBD (refined, bleached, and deodorized or fully refined) coconut oil.  The combined value of the coconut oil export mix was USD67.274 million.

Europe was leading destination of coconut oil shipments accounting for 41.5% or 26,830 MT of the export mix, trailed by the USA which was responsible for 34.3% or 22,185 MT, China at 6,785 MT (10.5%), South Korea 5,004 MT (7.7%), Japan 2,915 MT (4.5%), Malaysia 525 MT (0.8%). Other destinations took in much lower loads ranging 8-174 MT namely, Turkey, Taiwan, Mexico, Australia, Canada, New Zealand.

Export to Europe was largely crude coconut oil totaling 24,939 MT (Netherlands 24,601, Belgium 251, Bulgaria 87 MT). The next biggest market was the USA which held 9,019 MT, followed by China at 1,125 MT, Malaysia 517 MT, and Mexico 85 MT.  On the other hand, the USA topped in cochin oil handling 12,000 MT, tracked by Japan at 2,899 MT.  Limited volume was shipped to Europe at 267 MT (Netherlands).

Principal market from RBD coconut oil was China responsible for 5,660 MT, closely followed by South Korea at 5,004 MT, Europe at 1,624 MT (Netherlands 1,478, Slovenia 87, Spain 20, Belgium 19, Germany 19), USA at 1,166 MT.  Smaller orders were made by Turkey at 174 MT, Taiwan 128 MT, Australia 19 MT, Canada 19 MT, Japan 16 MT, Malaysia 8 MT, New Zealand 8 MT.
