Chinese Plant-Based Yogurt Firm Launches New Coconut Yogurt Range
Thursday, June 2, 2022The firm, Jooma has launched a new coconut yogurt range in addition to its revamped almond yogurt recipe to bring in more consumers as alternative for those who do not wish to have almond. “Coconut is a lot less polarizing and more accepted in China, it’s a flavor that is really is for everyone, which is why we’ve chosen to launch a whole new line focusing on that as a base ingredient,” said Dr. Stefan Schmale, Founder and CEO of Jooma’s parent company, NOIX AG.
Like the almond yogurt, the company avoided using coconut water or milk in the formulation, but focused instead on using coconut cream for an even better taste and texture, as well as have a higher content of the natural ingredient of focus, according to Schmale.
The coconut yogurt range comes in unique flavors in addition to the more common and original coconut flavor. These are the Calamansi, Strawberry and Kiwi-Avocado variants. The company says they are likely the first to offer the Kiwi-Avocado and the Strawberry Coconut flavors in the history of yogurt.
