International trade of coco shell charcoal in July stood at 9,436 MT with turnover of USD6.372 million. Biggest buyer was China cornering nearly two-thirds (64.8%) at 6,115 MT with Japan a far second at 2,308 MT (24.5%).  Other markets were South Korea 439 MT, Turkey 337 MT, India 215 MT, Jordan 25 MT.

On the other hand, activated carbon, a value-added product from coco shell charcoal registered export of 7,071 MT with proceeds amounting to USD13.813 million in the same month.  Its market was diverse with Japan and Germany as key outlets responsible for 1,242 MT (17.6%) and 1,098 MT (15.5%), respectively.  The US was third major market at 818 MT (11.6%) tracked by South Korea 541 MT (7.6%).

Ten countries also ordered significant volume ranging 135-454 MT and comprised 42.5% of total sales: China, United Kingdom, Finland, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, South Africa, Russia, Italy, Australia, while eight others with loads ranging 21-98 MT shared 5.2%.  The latter group consisted of Vietnam, Belgium, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Greece, Brazil, Mexico, Spain.
