Destinations of Coconut Oil Export in February

Export of coconut oil in February consisted of 20,938 MT crude coconut oil, 17,116 MT cochin (refined, bleached) coconut oil, and 6,211 MT RBD (refined, bleached and deodorized) coconut oil, the combined value of which was USD39.351 million.  Europe was top destination of coconut oil export with combined uptake of the three types of coconut oil at 21,800 MT representing nearly half (49.2%) of total.  The US was responsible for over one third (34.5%) at 15,263 MT, trailed by Japan with 3,752 MT (8.5%), and China 2,817 MT (6.4%).  
All export of crude coconut oil went to Europe (Netherlands 18,888 MT and Germany 2,050 MT).  On the other hand, there were three country importers of cochin oil led by the US at 12,835 MT, followed by Japan with 3,671 MT and China with 611 MT.  
RBD coconut oil had diverse market numbering 18 during the month.  The  US led the pack with 2,428 MT, trailed by China with 2,206 MT, Europe 861 MT (Netherlands 730, Poland 100, Germany 31), Iran 122 MT, India 111 MT, Pakistan 83 MT, Japan 81 MT, Canada 56 MT, Malaysia 48 MT, South Korea 48 MT, Taiwan 38 MT, Argentina 26 MT, New Zealand 21 MT, Singapore 20 MT, Hong Kong 19 MT, South Africa 19 MT, Vietnam 17 MT, Madagascar 6 MT.
