DESTINATIONS OF COCONUT OIL EXPORT IN JULY

Export of coconut oil consisted of 46,462 MT crude coconut oil, 14,928 MT cochin (refined, bleached) coconut oil, and 6,694 MT RBD (refined, bleached, deodorized or fully refined) coconut oil, and collectively generated USD112.542 million in revenue.  Top destination during the month was the US with uptake of 27,739 MT of all coconut oil types (40.7% of total), followed by Europe at 24,308 MT (35.7%), China 5,485 MT (8.1%), Japan 5,026 MT (7.4%), and Malaysia 4,786 MT (7.0%).  Others had market shares of less than 1%.

Europe, however, is market leader in crude coconut oil at 23,620 MT (Netherlands 17,317, Italy 6,000, Portugal 303); trailed by the US at 17,706 MT, Malaysia 3,000 MT, China 2,000 MT, Japan 100 MT, and Hong Kong 37 MT.  The US, on the other hand, was primary market for cochin oil at 9,264 MT, tracked by Japan at 4,926 MT, China 171 MT, and Europe at 21 MT (Germany).  

RBD oil has the most markets with China leading the pack at 2,768 MT, next was Malaysia at 1,786 MT, then US 770 MT, Europe 667 MT (Netherlands 587, Poland 43, France 17, Bulgaria 16, Italy 5), Pakistan 146 MT, Iran 137 MT, Sri Lanka 109 MT, Canada 91 MT, Mexico 80 MT, Russia 43 MT, Taiwan 29 MT, Argentina 24 MT, South Africa 19 MT, Bangladesh 17 MT, New Zealand 8 MT.
